Green building is another term for “sustainable developments”, building with a lower impact on the environment.
Internationally green building products are increasing in popularity but because it hasn’t quite hit the South African media yet we are still quite a bit behind in knowledge of alternative green products.
Green – or sustainable – building products are assumed to be more costly but in many situations the opposite is the case, as with Bamboo flooring which is cheaper and more durable than most flooring building materials.
